We have two full-time and one PRN position open for our acute care (including NICU) and outpatient feeding programs. We are willing to train SLPs with a background in feeding and a strong desire and drive for learning. Only accepting applications from CFY’s who have had placements in pediatric feeding programs or pediatric acute care. This is a “dream job” for anyone who is passionate about pediatric feeding.

VCU Health System is located in Richmond Virginia.  It is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital that includes a continuum of care from NICU, PICU, pediatric floors, and outpatient diagnostic services including modified barium swallow studies, lactation/feeding evaluations, and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing. Work as part of multi disciplinary clinics including Feeding/GI Clinic, ENT Clinic, NICU follow up, and aerodigestive team.

The department is managed by a Speech Pathologist that encourages continuing education with multiple opportunities including in-house bimonthly MBS/FEES rounds, quarterly Dysphagia Grand Rounds, and various weekly hospital Grand Rounds.
